Flemmings Folly, Ballinagh, Cavan

What: Restoration of Flemming’s Folly

One of our most exciting restoration projects, Flemmings Folly is an historic site situated looking over the Ballinagh area along with a view that allows for onlooking of Cavan Town, Monaghan, Longford and the tip of Sligo County. There is a Cledd legend attached to his tower. According to the ledgend a man named Fleming condcuted its construction one of which relates that the Captains son was serving in the army in North America, and he built the Folly so that he might be able to see the ship carrying him home.
Restoration was carried out by McCabe Masonry using NHL lime along with our vast range of skills and knowledge to ensure that the 1836 struture would stand strong for the next 180 Years.
